Stop Junk Mail

The Science of Junk Busting

Apart from keeping a blog I'm making the occasional video about what's happening with the Stop Junk Mail campaign. If you can't see / play the videos below you can try viewing them on YouTube.

Old videos

A couple of old videos made before 2010… Many thanks to in particular Tom Carver and Mick Hardy (Hamlet and Secret past) as well as Eloise O'Hare (The occupier, Re-use those envelopes) for helping make these films.

Re-use those envelopes!

Every year some 4.5 billion pieces of 'direct mail' (AKA 'addressed junk mail') are posted through letter boxes in the UK. Almost all this junk mail comes in an envelope, and lots of them end up rotting in landfill sites (as they're difficult to recycle). There is, however, an alternative. Learn how easy it is to save paper and cheer up your post from artist extraordinaire Eloise O'Hare.

Secret past

An episode from Channel Norfolk's 'Secret Past' series. In this episode you can watch Fred (Mick Hardy) confess to Tom Carver that he once did a job that cost him his marriage, friends and self-esteem.

Hamlet

An actor (Tom Carver) trying to learn his lines for Hamlet is driven to desperation by his local junk mail deliverer (Mick Hardy). But there might just be someone out there able to end his junk mail nightmare…

The occupier

An alien (from another planet) has come to Earth to warn you of the dangers of junk mail…
