There is a scam for everyone. It are not just elderly and vulnerable people who fall for scams. Older people are more likely to be targeted by scamsters, but most victims of scams are in fact between 35 and 44 years old.
The reasons why people fall for scams vary. One of the most common reasons given by people who have fallen for a scam is that the material looked professional and official. Other people said they were simply caught off guard or thought it was worth the risk. And of course in many cases scammers will exploit a genuine need, such as work, money or help with losing weight.
